20 Questions

No excuse other than I am bored. My sisters are trying to slaughter each other (If we had friendly neighbours, I would run a book on them. I'd make a fortune!) My brother is romantically pursuing my best friend & my mum & stepdad are watching incredibly boring television.

1. Things you cannot leave the house without

My bag. it has everything in it I need when I'm out of the house. And it doesn't break my back when I carry it either!

2. Favourite brand of Make Up

Barry M for eyeshadows. Palmers coca butter for lip balm. But apart from that, whatever is on offer.

3. Favourite flower

Peonies. Sweet Williams. Freesias. Roses. Oriental Lilies. I can't pick just one!

4. Favourite clothing store

Primark for cheap & easy basics & faddy fashion. Next for staple items & New Look or River Island for middle of the road stuff.

5. Favourite perfume

Benefit's Maybe Baby. Georgio Armani Sensi & CK Truth Lush.

6. Heels or Flats

Both. Flats for the yard & town. Heels for nights out & when I want to impress. Or get my own way with a boyfriend. If batting the eyelashes fail then play dirty! Lol

7. Do you make good grades

Erm. No. I was not the best at school because only drama, art & English really interested me. Anything else & you wouldn't really find me studying but taking the P out of class rivals & coming out with smart remarks rather than smart study.
But then again, I get bored easily & I'm definitely a person who learns by practical experience rather than theory.

8. Favourite colours

Purple. Emerald green. Petrol blue.

9. Do you drink energy drinks

No. They taste like syrup & I have a bad tendency to behave like a hyperactive maniac after drinking them.

10. Do you drink juice

Cranberry juice mixed half & half with water. I am a very good girl & get in my whole two litres, sometimes three litres, per day.

11. Do you like swimming

I love it. And I'm not a bad swimmer but don't much like swimming in the sea as I'm always scared I'll get eaten by a shark. Pathetic, I know.

12. Do you eat fries with a fork

What sort of a question is that?!

13. Favourite moisturiser

Baby oil. Or Palmers body butter because it smells like white chocolate.

14. Do you want to get married later on in life

Yes of course. But only if it's the right man who ticks all the boxes of my five point requirement sheet. Lol

15. Do you get mad easily

No. But when I do get mad I get really mad. But it has to be something major to make me lose my temper.

16. Are you into ghost hunting

No. Even kids ghouly stories scare me!

17. Any phobias

Spiders. The feel of chicken breasts (they make my skin crawl so I have to handle them with sandwich bags over my hands!). Snakes & the general creepy crawly population.

18. Do you bite your nails

Yes. Stopped for three months & then started again. Bad bad bad.

19. Have you ever had a near death experience

Yes. Two. I hope if a third time ever comes along, that in that particular instance it is not third time lucky....!

20. Do you drink coffee

Yes. I don't care who withholds chocolate from me but if I'm deprived of my morning two cups of coffee then I turn in to a nasty nasty girl! Lol

Glue

I love my nephew. He is absolutely beautiful & to be quite frank, I really do not know how my brother managed to have a hand in producing such a lovely baby.

My brother has J every weekend from Friday night through to Sunday afternoon/evening. He calls this 'parenting'. It isn't parenting, it's barely part time parenting!
My mum & stepdad went down to visit my brother, his girlfriend & J a few weeks ago & as this was a Saturday night, my brother decided he wanted to go out on the town. He only has J once a week for two days & does not think twice about asking my mum to babysit whilst he goes out on the lash. My mum refused & told him that as he now has a newborn son that it was about time he grew up a little bit.

He's already cancelled four weekends he was supposed to have J & gone out with friends instead. I don't expect him to stay in for the rest of his days but what is wrong with going out once a month?

But as he's doing so well at being a dad him & his girlfriend decided another baby would be a fabulous idea.
She is now pregnant & in mty brother's words this was a good idea beacause it shows his commitment to C, his girlfriend.
Er hello! Marriage?! And then maybe a baby a year or so down the line when they're both settled & secure?

Oh no, according to him a baby with C is a brilliant idea as he loves being a dad & weddings cost a lot of money.. Yes. Of course, silly me. Because babies are cheap & you can just put them back in the box when you've got bored.

C does not trust my brother where other girls are concerned (I absolutely do not blame her. I don't trust him either) & to be honest, I think the only reason she has so readily agreed to have a child with my brother is because she is feeling insecure & threatened. She has more or less said that to me herself.

I just don't understand how on earth she imagines a baby will make my brother settle down or how it will serve to make their relationship strong. It won't.
I think she's using this pregnancy & baby as a glue & it just won't work.

She's already fallen out with my brother over her suspecting him of messing around with other girls via Facebook & text. My brother denied it all, C got stressed out to the point where she had to go to hospital as it was suspected she was having a miscarriage.

I know C will be a great mum. She is a great girl & I really like her. However, my brother is still as immature as ever. Still thinks it is clever to list the girls he's slept with by going on Facebook with his friend & my brother pointing to the pictures on girls profiles saying "I've had her. And her. And her. Oh, and her mate. And her" etc etc.
He still thinks it's clever to try starting fights when he's drunk. He still thinks it's clever to do all of the immature things he does.

But he still calls himself a parent.

I am really cross with him. I realise C has a part in this too, it's also her choice to stay with him & have a child with him.
And I do realise he hasn't had the best of rolde models in our dad but I'm not like he is. My other brother is the total opposite of him & for all of our dad's failings, our stepdad has made up for them triple fold.

So why does he still behave like an overgrown 12 year old?

I cannot bear to speak to him on the phone anymore as all I hear is him bragging of various stupid & ridiculous things he's done & telling me to lighten up.

I just hope he grows up in some sort of order in the next 8 months.

*Crosses Fingers*

That my application to work in the Control Room of Spa Town Police is successful. And after wondering if crossed fingers wouldn't be enough, I took myself along to speak to somebody in the local station who was extremely helpful & also said that if the Control Room wasn't an option, then maybe go for a Contact Centre place & work my way up.

So, here's hoping!

Apart from that little bit of news, there's been a lot of other stuff going on. Some of it rubbish but a lot of it good.

When the internet access is permanent I might explain about the WHSmith incident....

In the meantime, it's a shame MetCountyMounty has (understandably) decided to leave the scene & I hope not too many others feel pressured to do the same.
For what it's worth, I never was a fan of The Times. It reminds me of a certain chinless wonder who thought it was the only paper worth reading. Then again, he also thought it acceptable to grab womens' crotches & not to refer to someone he saw as 'below' him by name, but by a click of the fingers or "You, come here".
His outer appearance was all very correct & proper but inside, he lacked depth & any sort of standards or decency. Very much like his chosen reading material in fact......
